Novamont among the speakers at Plant based summit
From 22 to 24 September, Plant based summit, the biobased solutions international conference & business meeting, was held at Reims, France.
The aim of the Conference, coorganized by Association Chimie du végétal, IAR (French Bioeconomy Cluster) e Infopro digital, is to stimulate biobased products development through a market driven approach. The 2021 edition focused on the biobased products’ markets, emphasising sector’s innovations and challenges.
Christophe De Boissoudy, General Director Novamont France, participated in the plenary session “The Green deal: the SWOT matrix of biobased solutions”. Christophe De Boissoudy illustrated the role of circular bioeconomy as a key tool to implement the Green Deal and the other European strategies. In particular he recalled the Mission Soil Health and Food and the importance of soil regeneration.
Stefano Facco, Novamont’s New Business Development Director, was then among the speakers of the session “The biobased packaging challenges”. In his speech, Stefano Facco has presented Novamont bioeconomy model based on biorefineries integrated in thelocal areas. He highlighted how Mater-Bi biodegradable plastics is obtained by means of pioneering proprietary technologies and then mentioned some of the recent partnership for the development of sustainable and tailormade solutions for packaging.
