Novamont among the guests of the final conference of the European project Biomotive
On November 29, the final conference of the European project Biomotive, of which Novamont is partner, was held online.
Started in 2017 and coordinated by Selena Labs Spółka Z Ograniczoną Odpowiedzialnością, Biomotive saw the participation of 16 partners, from 8 different European countries.
During the event, the consortium showed the main results of the project and the innovative opportunities offered, in particular, for the automotive market.
Among the speakers also Sebastia Gesti, Biomotive Project Manager for Novamont, Head of New Materials and Technologies R&D Area, who attended the conference and illustrated Novamont's contribution within the project.
In Biomotive, the Group has demonstrated how vegetable oils and building blocks from renewable and sustainable sources are compatible with the development of solutions for high-performance sectors such as the automotive industry. Gesti then highlighted the potential for these innovations to be replicated for biopolymers and applications in other sectors and recalled, among the results, the opportunities for open and complementary collaboration between key players in the supply chain, in countries such as Italy and Poland.
