Innovations in the transparent and flexible food packaging supply chain illustrated in a webinar by Novamont, Sun Chemical, Ticinoplast and Uteco
On March 30, the webinar "Packaging and sustainability: innovative solutions for a production chain of excellence" was held, organized by UTECO, Novamont, Sun Chemical and Ticinoplast.
The event was an opportunity for the four companies to present the latest sustainable solutions for flexible food packaging, the result of a collaboration within the supply chain. During the webinar, each partner illustrated its own innovation contribution on raw materials, converting technologies, printing machinery, coatings, inks and adhesives.
Among the speakers was Elisabetta Fanesi, Application Development Manager Novamont, who explained Novamont's contribution within the new concept of compostable laminate for food packaging, highlighting how the Group has developed a new grade of Mater-Bi bioplastic, creating a material optimized for printing and lamination with improved transparency, which is suitable for treatments like lacquering and metallization.
To attend the event also Anan Hiyasat, Uteco’s MENA Area Sales Manager, Claudio Martini, Ticinoplast’s Sales Manager, and Pierangelo Brambilla, SunChemical’s Global Laminating Adhesives & Cold-Seals, EMEA/LAR Functional Coatings Product Director.
