European project Effective hosted at Novamont’s Headquarters and Research Centre

On December 4, Novamont’s Headquarters and Research Centre of Novara hosted the visit of EFFECTIVE partners. EFFECTIVE is a project of which Novamont is a partner, funded by the Bio Based Industries Join Undertaking, as part of the Horizon 2020 program.
 
The delegation had the opportunity to visit the R&D laboratories and learn about the company’s approach to industrial research in the bioeconomy sector.
 
The EFFECTIVE project aims to create new paths for the production of polyamides and polyesters from renewable raw materials in order to obtain sustainable fibers and films, with improved properties and competitive on the market. The ultimate goal will be to the development of two bio-based supply chains by establishing new interconnections between different sectors: the first one dedicated to the production of polyamides for garment, carpet and primary packaging products, and the other one dedicated to the production of polyester for the secondary packaging sector.
