NOVAMONT among the speakers of the Bioeconomy Conference Utrecht 2016

Catia Bastioli, Novamont’s CEO, will attend the fourth Bioeconomy Stakeholders’ Conference, that will be held in Utrecht (Netherlands) on 12 and 13 April. Bioeconomy Utrecht 2016 will bring together the main European stakeholders from institutions, industry and research and will represent an important opportunity to shape the future orientation of the European Bioeconomy Strategy

On April 12, Catia Bastioli will participate in the session "Inspiration by key stakeholders", that will be moderated by John Bell, Director of Bioeconomy, in Directorate-General Research and Innovation of the European Commission. The objective of the session is to stimulate the participants on the opportunities which the sector needs to spread especially among businesses and the challenges to be faced in order to strengthen the Bioeconomy in Europe.

The Conference is organized by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and by the European Commission, under the auspices of the Dutch EU Presidency. Bioeconomy Utrecht 2016 will be resume from the debate outlined in the latest edition of the Conference - TOBE 2014: From sectors to system, from concept to reality - held in Turin in October 2014 and organized under the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The results that will come out  from the conference, will converge in a ‘Stakeholders Manifesto for the Bioeconomy in Europe’: a strategic agenda and shared commitment to strengthen the Bioeconomy in Europe
