Renewed the annual date with Kassel
On April 10 will take place Kasseler Abfall - und Ressourcenforum 2018, one of the most important conferences on waste management. Started in 1990 in Kassel (Germany), the conference has brought together the stakeholders of industry, public administrations and the scientific world.
For three days the working group will discuss about new approaches in waste management, prospects and new challenges for the recycling world, Europe and Germany’s recycling data, virtuous examples of separate collection, automation to raise recovery rates. Circular economy, climate change, desertification of soils, organic waste and the benefits of using compost in agriculture will also be discussed during the event.
Among the interesting initiatives of the forum, there will be the presentation of "Alles in Bio", the Austrian strategy introduced by the association of composters based in Austria, Kompost & Biogas Verband, to enhance the quality of organic waste thanks to the use of biodegradable and compostable bags for the separate collection of bio-waste.
As in previous years, Novamont will be present with a stand to showcase the range of applications in Mater-Bi. Mater-Bi is our family of biodegradable and compostable bioplastics conceived with the aim of improving the quality and quantity of the collected organic waste. If recycled through the composting process, organic waste could be recycled into compost, a powerful soil improver, thus contributing to fight desertification of agricultural soils and reduce CO2 emissions.
