Novamont took part to the first annual conference of ICESP
The first annual conference of ICESP was held in Rome on December 3rd. ICESP - Italian Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform – is inspired by ECESP - European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform - and it is promoted in Italy by ENEA - National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development.
ICESP is a "network of networks" bringing together the Italian stakeholders with the aim of promoting "the Italian way" of doing the circular economy, through specific and dedicated actions and sharing of experiences.
During this first conference the results achieved by the ICESP working groups, composed of 60 important national stakeholders coming from industry, institutions, research institutions and civil society, were presented.
NOVAMONT took part in the working groups, sharing its experience in the field of products, processes, plants, collaborations, with a view to circular bioeconomy. The best practices proposed by the company include the management of organic waste with biodegradable and compostable bioplastics, the use of compost in agriculture to improve soil fertility and the regeneration of disused industrial sites to create plants that are first in the world and sustainable production processes.
The outputs produced by the ICESP annual conference will be included in the European ECESP conference to be held in March 2019.
