Novamont is among the companies "Best for The World 2021", the program that recognizes B Corporations that have achieved the highest verified scores at global level in one or more impact areas, on which B Corporation certification is based: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.

In particular  the score the Group received in the “Environment” Impact Area reaches the top 5% of all B Corp worldwide. Therefore, the nomination acknowledges our positive impact on the environment, having achieved the highest standards of sustainability through our circular bioeconomy model.

Novamont obtained the B Corp Certification in 2020 with a score of excellence of 104. At the same time, the Group has made its commitment to promote a truly sustainable and inclusive economic model binding, by amending its Article of Association and legally becoming a Benefit Company, a legal form of business identifying companies that include making a positive impact on society and biosphere in their corporate objects.

The Best for the World recognition is administered by B Lab, the global nonprofit network that certifies and mobilizes Certified B Corporations, which are for-profit companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Today there are more than 4,000 Certified B Corporations across 77 countries and 153 industries, unified by one common goal: transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.

Close to 800 B Corps from more than 50 countries were named to the 2021 Best for the World lists, including 4G Capital, KeepCup, Natura, The Big Issue Group, TOMS, Too Good To Go, and Patagonia. The full lists are available on bcorporation.net
