Novamont brings the Italian Bioeconomy to Poland

The "Building a biomass innovation ecosystem in a circular bioeconomy in Poland" workshop, organized by the Biotechnology working group, Nanotechnology & Converging Technologies (BNCT) and the OECD Science and Technology Division in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland, was held on 7 and 8 of June
 
On 7 June, Sara Guerrini, Agricultural Public Affairs of Novamont, participated in the "Establishing innovation ecosystems in the circular bioeconomy" session, presenting the Novamont bioeconomy model, based on the regeneration of deindustrialized sites, on the integrated agricultural supply chain and on products conceived to solve specific environmental problems and how this model also contributes to creating value in the territories from an economic and social point of view.
 
The same session also included Tomasz Wojciechowski of GWDA Sp. Z o.o, Sari Tasa, Minister of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland; Anton De Vries, Director of Enerkem Inc.; Artur Świergiel from the Polish Institute of Biotechnology for the agro-food industry and Ole Jørgen Marvik from Innovation Norway.
 
The seminar, which is part of the BNCT project "Innovation for a Sustainable Bioeconomy", was organized with the aim of inspiring the Polish government's policy makers to build a circular economy and an innovative biomass management system able to exploit all the territory’s potential.
