On March 1-2 the Circular Economy Stakeholder Conference, the main gathering of the European Circular Economy community, was held online and in Brussels.  
The event was organized by the European Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee and the French EU Council Presidency. The theme of the two-day conference 2022 was "Towards a new normal: Sustainable products for sustainable consumption" and focused on the main upcoming milestones in the implementation of the Circular Economy Action Plan.  
 
Among the speakers also Francesco Degli Innocenti, Director Ecology of Products and Environmental Communication of Novamont Group, who participated at the Panel “Advancing on the plastics agenda: focus on biobased and biodegradable plastics”. In particular, he illustrated the role of communication for the bio-based products sector, highlighting how transparency and clear indications can provide consumers with a better understanding of separate collection, biodegradability and compostability, thus promoting positive and correct behavior.
