Novamont among the Piedmont Best Practices showed at IFAT 2018

It is taking place these days in Munich, IFAT, the world's leading trade fair for water, wastewater, waste management and raw materials, where thousands of visitors each year can learn about water protection and environmental technologies and new innovative solutions for a more efficient use of resources.
 
On 16 May, the Piedmontese Agency,  Ceipiemonte – Foreign Center for Internationalization - will organize the "Piemonte Best practices workshop in the cleantech sector”, to show the best practices and excellence in the waste treatment in  Piedmont Region. During the event, six local companies will present their innovative products, services and solutions for the treatment and enhancement of waste.
 
Among the six companies, NOVAMONT will be present with Christian Garaffa, Novamont's Marketing Manager for Separate Collection and Recycling. Mr. Garaffa  with his presentation on "Circular bioeconomy as a factor of territorial regeneration and best practices in organic waste collection", will present NOVAMONT’s bioeconomy model, and successful case studies on the organic waste separate collection through the use of bags made of MATER-BI, launched in the cities of Milan and Copenhagen.
 
NOVAMONT’s bioplastics, and in particular the biodegradable and compostable bags, make possible the improvement of the management and quality of the collected organic waste, which through composting can become compost, a valuable soil improver, which helps fight soil desertification and reduce CO2 emissions.
 
At the event will be also shared  the experiences of EntsorgaFin S.p.A., Hysytech S.r.l., Ompeco S.r.l., Manifattura Russo Filippo S.r.l. and Italprogetti S.r.l..
