Novamont participate at EU Industry Day: an opportunity to discuss the long-term vision for European industry
After the success of the first European Industry Day in 2017, EU Commission Vice-President Jyrki Katainen has organized a new edition of the initiative in cooperation with Commissioners Elżbieta Bieńkowska and Carlos Moedas. The event will be held in Brussels from 22 to 23 February, and following the adoption of the Renewed EU Industrial Policy Strategy on 13 September 2017, for the EU Commission it will be an opportunity to share with its stakeholders, the development path for industry’s competitiveness in Europe on clean energy, cluster and regional partnerships, technologies of the future, artificial intelligence, value chains and skills.
On this occasion, Giulia Gregori, Head of Strategic Planning and Institutional Communication of NOVAMONT, will take part in two discussion panels.
The 22 of February she will take part at the debate “Testbed Europe - accelerating innovation and strengthening eco-systems”, organized by the Research Institutes of Sweden, RISE and The Association of Swedish Engineering Industries, Teknikföretagen. Both associations are working on the topic of the Test and Demonstration facilities to show how important it is for industry, research and academia to have innovative infrastructures to test, develop or research products or services and consequently the need to have an European strategy in this regard.
The 23 of February she will participate at the panel “Technologies of the future”, where Jürgen Rüttger, former Minister of Science and Technology in Germany, will anticipate the contents of the report to be drawn up by the High Level Strategy Group on Industrial Technologies in April.
The European Commisson commissioned The High-Level Strategy Group to revising the community approach to supporting research and innovation in relation to Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) and providing advice to the Commission on how to position KETs in future research and innovation programs.
