Catia Bastioli among the signatories of the joint statement "A solution to build back better: the circular economy" of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation
Together with over 50 global leaders, Catia Bastioli, Novamont CEO, signed the declaration "A solution to build back better: the circular economy". Ellen Mac Arthur Foundation set up the document with the aim to ask for actions to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy, in response to the devastating impacts of the pandemic emergency and to global challenges such as climate change and pollution.
The signatories ask companies and governments around the world to join them on the journey towards a circular economy, investing in solutions that combine economic benefits, environment and an inclusive society in the sectors of plastic, food, finance, fashion, healthcare, technology, mobility, electronics, chemistry, construction.
Ellen MacArthur Foundation has more than 850 members united for a circular economy for plastics with ambitious goals by 2025. Novamont takes parte in New Plastics Economy Initiatives, a project that brings together the main actors interested in rethinking the systems of production, consumption and disposal of plastics and is partner ofCities and Circular Economy for Food Initiative, which aims to rethink and transform the role of cities in the food system.
