International Seminar on Biotechnology applied to the plastic sector
On March 1-2 the International Seminar on Biotechnology applied to the plastic sector, organized by AIMPLAS, Technological Institute of Plastics in Spain, will be held online.
The seminar will address the challenges and opportunities offered by biotechnology in the plastics sector in terms of waste management and treatment methods, as well as trends and initiatives being implemented internationally to achieve the goals set by the European Union.
Sebastia Gestì, Head of New Materials and Technologies R&D Area Novamont, will be among the speakers on March 1 to discuss the integration of chemical process with industrial biotechnology. In particular he will illustrate Novamont bioeconomy model, presenting some innovation projects in the field of biotechnology, of which the Group is partner, as well as the activities carried out in Novamont R&D Center in Piana di Monte Verna and in Mater-Biotech plant.
