Ecomondo 2024 - Novamont at the fair with a rich conference program

From November 5 to 8, Ecomondo, the leading European trade fair for industrial and technological innovation in the circular economy, is back. It will feature thematic conferences where visitors can explore advanced and sustainable solutions for the proper management and valorization of waste in all its forms.
 
Novamont will be present at pavilion D23, stand 100-201, and will participate in a series of events:
 
November 5, 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm - Efficient and Sustainable Agricultural Best Practices: The Ager-Bi Case Study
Venue: Agorà Augusto Hall - Bioeconomy Area, Pavilion D2
The event will present the case study of pelargonic acid, a natural and biodegradable molecule used in Ager-Bi formulations for weed control and other agricultural applications. Field results will be discussed, highlighting the efficacy and sustainability of these products when combined with good agricultural practices.
Speakers: Catia Bastioli, CEO of Novamont, and Anna Ciancolini, head of the agricultural sector of Novamont's R&D function.

November 5, 10:00 am - 5:30 pm - Technological solutions for resource recovery from end-of-life products and materials.
Venue: Tiglio Hall, Pavilion A6
This seminar will present examples of new technological solutions that could significantly improve the performance of waste valorization in different economic sectors.
Speaker: Daniele Turati, Head of Technological Innovation and Chemometrics at Novamont and Project Manager of the Deep Purple project.  
 
November 6, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Presentation of Novamont's Sustainability Report
Venue: Pavilion D23, booth 100-201
Novamont will host an event at its stand to present its new Sustainability Report. During the event, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will be presented and the value chain will be discussed, focusing on how companies are addressing these issues and adopting best practices.

November 6, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm - Green Economy General States.
This annual event serves as a key meeting for the bioeconomy sector. The 2024 edition will focus on "The Economy of Tomorrow: The Green Deal at the Start of the European Legislature."
Speaker: Marco Versari, Global Public Affairs of Novamont, will participate in the session "European Innovations: Measuring to Improve Business Circularity."

November 7, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm - General States for Soil Health - 3rd Edition. Opportunities for Soil Renewal and Climate Neutrality: Carbon-Positive Actions and Nature-Based Solutions. International Session
Venue: Ravezzi Hall 2, South Hall
The third edition of the General States for Soil Health will address topics related to soil regeneration and climate neutrality, with an emphasis on carbon-positive actions and nature-based solutions. The morning session will focus on European regulatory updates and key elements for soil protection, such as carbon farming and good regeneration practices. In the afternoon, the Italian scenario will be presented, with a focus on regenerative agriculture and local initiatives.

November 7, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - The Integrated Sustainability of the Cooperative Food Supply Chain. Challenges and Opportunities in Waste Management: From Packaging to Return Systems
Venue: Acero Hall, 1st floor, Pavilion A6
This conference will analyze the impact of European packaging regulations and reuse systems on cooperatives, with a special focus on the food supply chain.
Speaker: Patrizio Salice, researcher in new materials and technologies at Novamont, who will present the European TERRIFIC project.
 
November 7, 11:30 am - 1:00 pm - Next generation circular bio-based packaging: The role of the TERRIFIC project in advancing the European circular bioeconomy
